Vesselpaws – Reliable Atraumatic Tissue Occlusion – VesselPaws surgical clamp jaw covers provide simple yet effective vessel occlusion with smooth constant pressure without aggravation and trauma to the vessel being clamped. Made from medical grade silicone the serrated edges interface to provide smooth, steady non-slipping tension. Vesselpaws are useful anytime a haemostatic clamp is used. Three colour coded sizes are available with each sterile pack containing two 5” lengths.
Vesseloops – provide smooth vessel occlusion, retraction and identification during surgical procedures. Arteries, veins, tendons, nerves, spermatic cords and intestines are treated gently with a unique elliptical cross-section.
Atraumatic Vesseloops are time proven for reliability and ease of use. Vesseloops are totally non-absorbent and are ideal for a variety of surgical procedures, including: cardiovascular and thoracic surgery for occluding and identifying vessels; vascular surgery to control back bleeding; neurosurgery for occluding arteries in carotid endarterectomy and embolectomy; and urological surgery for retracting and identifying ureters. Vesseloops, unlike clamps, do not pinch the vessel flat – a force that often contributes to trauma-provoked atheromas. Clamps can crack the intima, sometimes pulverising and dislodging plaque build-up. Pieces of dislodged plaque can possibly infarct distal organs.
Vesseloops are the perfect blend of quick and easy application, coupled with dependable performance.
